A VOC is a verification of competency assessment. A VOC is often required by employers as a way to meet their General PCBU duties under the WHS (and OHS) Acts involving the management or control of plant. Quite simply, a verification of competency is conducted by a competent person (High Risk Work Assessor) and this assessment allows the PCBU to verify that staff are actually competent at the time of assessment.

The following is a list of high risk work licences required by Australian State Regulators. OHS.com.au work in conjunction with High Risk Licence Assessors and an AlertForce (RTO ID 91826) to issue VOC paperwork once candidates are deemed competent by the assessor.

These assessments are only available to participants who currently hold a valid High Risk Work Licence (HRWL). These assessments are not a suitable way of gaining your initial licence and full training must take place by a Registered Training Organisation in a face to face environment.
