Welcome to TLILIC003 - Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck Training Course.
This course gives you the certification to apply for a LF High Risk Work Licence.
This unit specifies all the skills and knowledge necessary to operate a forklift safely, in accordance with any relevant legislation. The competence in this unit does not result in a HRWL license to operate this plant machinery.
Forklift truck is a powered industrial vehicle equipped with lifting media consisting of a mast, an elevating load carriage and a pair or fork arms. The attachments can be raised up to 900 mm above the ground. It does not include a pallet truck or a truck operated by a pedestrian.
Forklift truck High-Risk Work Licence is required for anyone performing this type of work.

In accordance with the manufacturer's requirements and safe working procedures, we assess weather and work environment conditions to determine if they have any impact on the forklift truck operation.

Check that the risk control measures for hazards identified are implemented in accordance with safe working procedures.

Safe work procedures are followed to respond to unplanned and unsafe situations.

Loads will be picked up, transported, and placed using all forklift movements in accordance to safe work procedures.

The forklift truck must be parked, turned off and isolated in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements and safe working procedures.

HOW TO APPLY FOR YOUR NEW HIGH RISK LICENCE IN NSW
The application must be submitted within 60 days after the successful completion of the practical assessment.

- Complete your application for National Licence to Perform High Risk Work which will be given to you by the RTO and their approved SafeWork NSW Assessor
- You also need your Notice of Satisfactory Assessment (N5 form again provided to you by the RTO approved assessor). This is the original orange and white copy.
- Provide list of 100 points of ID
- A photo (passport quality) with your details written on the back
- Previous licence if you have it
- Go to a participating Australia Post office and apply
- There are fees and charges applicable. See here
