This comprehensive 5-day course includes a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises that covers in-depth the principles and practices of ISMS audits based on ISO/IEC 27001. You will understand the mechanisms and techniques required to evaluate and report on an organization’s ISMS health in accordance with the universally accepted audit guidelines of ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1.

The course schedule spans five days, with the first day devoted to an introduction to ISMS and ISO/IEC 27001. Days 2 through 4 cover the principles of auditing, preparing an audit, conducting on-site audit activities, and closing the audit. The certification exam is on Day 5.

The certification exam is in line with the PECB Examination and Certification Programme (ECP) requirements. The exam content is divided among seven domains: fundamental principles of ISMS, ISMS, audit concepts, ISO/IEC 27001 audit preparation, conducting an ISO/IEC 27001 audit, closing the audit, and managing an ISO/IEC 27001 audit program.

Upon successful completion of the exam, there are four credentials that you can qualify for. These range from Provisional Auditor to Senior Lead Auditor, each with varying requirements of professional experience, audit/assessment experience, and adherence to the PECB Code of Ethics.

The training course fee includes the certification and examination fees. All participants will receive over 450 pages of training material, and a course completion certificate equivalent to 31 CPD credits. Candidates, who do not pass the exam, will have a free re-sit within 12 months of the initial exam.
