This course Contribute to the health and safety of self and others (based on BSBWHS211) will help you earn the skills necessary to identify organizational WHS policies and procedures that apply to own work setting and at the same time carry out work tasks according to WHS instructions.

Our Contribute to the health and safety of self and others course is based on the unit of competency of BSBWHS211 . Whilst this course is not nationally recognized, it follows the learning outcomes and elements associated with that unit. The course contains

  1. Narrated e-learning learning resources online 
  2. Online Assessment tasks
  3. Ability to download your Certificate of Completion once assessment tasks are completed

What will you learn by completing the training course?

This course will include an understanding of awareness of the relevant legislation and your responsibilities in contributing to the health and safety of self and others .

Learning outcomes include:

  1. Carry out pre-start systems and equipment checks under supervision and according to organizational policies and procedures
  2. Participate in responding to incidents according to organizational policies and procedures
  3. Identify individuals and/or parties to whom queries and concerns about safety in the workplace should be directed 
  4. Identify existing and potential hazards relating to own role, and record and report them according to organizational policies and procedures
  5. Contribute to workplace meetings, inspections, and other WHS consultative activities 
  6. Identify existing and potential WHS hazards and report them to designated persons according to organizational policies and procedures 
  7. Participate in actions to minimize or eliminate workplace hazards and to reduce risks

How Is the Training Delivered?

Contribute to the health and safety of self and others course is available online and completed in your own time. This Contribute to the health and safety of self and others training course is based on the learning outcomes outlined above.

The course is typically designed to be completed in a minimum of four hours. However, the exact length of the course may depend on your ability and prior knowledge around the subject.
