Armed Robbery Safety Course Online (Awareness Training)
Welcome to the Armed Robbery Safety Awareness course. This course will provide you with an understanding of how your behaviour can help to protect your safety and the safety of others during a robbery related incident.
The content in this course has been developed to provide you with general information about how robbery related risks should be managed.
Throughout the course, we will refer to specific information and resources that are available for your work location, such as cash handling procedures.
Your manager is responsible for making sure you receive sufficient training and information in all aspects of your role. This may involve familiarisation training in various items of security equipment, other operational devices and work practices.
All information referenced throughout this course is strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to any person without express permission from your manager.
This course has been designed for those persons responsible for day-to-day engagement with customers and clients.
During the course, we’ll be looking at:
- robbery awareness
- security systems and procedures for minimising the risk of an incident
- how to respond safely in the event of an incident, and
- procedures to follow after an incident.

The National Armed Robbery Monitoring Program
At the completion of the course, you will:
- be familiar with the approach to managing robbery related risks
- be able to identify the key aspects of safe behaviour during a robbery, and
- be able to identify the link between victim injury and victim behaviour.
To complete each section, you’ll need to achieve the requirements of the assessment activities.
You can attempt each assessment activity ten times. If you have not achieved the requirements after your tenth attempt, the assessment will be locked, and your manager will need to reset your account for you.
This course has been reviewed by a subject matter expert.
