Food Handler Course (Non-accredited Training) - 120 min
Welcome to the Food Handler Course. This course will provide you with a thorough understanding of your workplace food handling responsibilities. It also explains what you need to do when it comes to following workplace hygiene procedures to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses.
As a food handler, it is important that you know about the dangers of inadequate personal and food hygiene. It is your responsibility to produce safe food.
By the end of this course you will know how to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities as food handlers under the legislation
- Understand how to reduce risk through good personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitising
- Identify and apply safe food handling practices
- Understand and conduct temperature monitoring
A Certificate of Completion is issued on successful completion of the course and you are required to get an 80% pass mark to be deemed as understanding the content. It is recommended that training is conducted every 2 years to stay refreshed.
